The White truffle of the Valle Ghenza
About
The Tuber Magnatum Pico, better known as white truffle, has been the typical product of the Valle Ghenza for ages. The Valle Ghenza is a formidable place which tells stories that smells like undergrowth, stories of little crunches of grass, which has been iced by the winter frost that shrouds poplars, oak, willow and linden trees. the “trifulau” (which means truffle-hunter in the local dialect), who together with their trusty “tabui” (truffle-hunting dogs), look for the precious tuber from the early morning hours defying fog and autumnal cold. In order to preserve and protect this territory and its Tuber Magnatum Pico, the “tartufaia of the Valle Ghenza” has been created in this green oasis.
