Information | The Castle was built at the beginning of the XX century by... |
It was built in the early 1900 at the behest of the Mellana Family. It reproduces the architectural pattern of another famous building in Piedmont: The Castle of the Medieval Village Valentino of Turin, built in 1884 in occasion of the General Italian Exposition. The crenellation, the fortified tower and its position, right next to the cliff, where there was one of the three ancient doors, which led to fortified village of Rosignano, make this castle be completely integrated in the village planning. It is preceded by a rural building and it offers a magnificent panoramic view on the Basso Monferrato. The internal furniture is really precious and there is a winter garden that, as the other places in the historical center, assures a rare permanence of “Mediterranean” essences.
