This castle was built between 1239 and 1271. It is set on the hill in front of Rosignano, on the opposite side of the valley. It was a noble residence from the XVI Century, but it is unrelated to the historical sequence of events of the community of Rosignano, which it has always threatened. From the XX Century it became private property of the “Missionari della Consolata” .
Also San Luigi Gonzaga, San Giovanni Bosco and the grandchildren of the Negus of Ethiopia lived in the castle in different historical periods.
The internal furniture is remarkable, and so are the architectural structures. On the outside there is a magnificent English-style garden and a parc, which is rich in rare plants.
